Bio

Dr. Ghalib A. Shah received his B.Sc. degree with major Math and M.Sc degree in Computer Science from Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, Pakistan in 1997 and 2000 respectively and PhD degree in computer engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara Turkey in January 2007. He joined College of E&ME, National University of Sciences & Technology Islamabad as an Assistant Professor. He has been at School of Computer Science, Australian National University as a visiting fellow with Professor Weifa Liang. Later, Dr Shah joined Center for Advanced Research in Engineering (CARE), Islamabad as a member Technical Staff and lead various networking projects. He was also awarded a COMSTECH-TWAS joint research grant for young researchers, made in a highly competitive contest. Recently, he joined the Next Generation Wireless Networks Lab, Koc University, Istanbul as a PostDoc fellow.


His current research interests include cognitive radio wireless sensor networks, multimedia wireless networks, next-generation wireless networks, wireless sensor and actor networks. He is also a member of IEEE, ACM and Australian Computer Society.
